Coho Partners, Ltd. is pleased to announce the addition of Evan Carpenter, CFA®, as a portfolio manager/investment analyst on its Investment Team.
“Evan comes to us with a strong background in value investing and fundamental equity research. We are delighted to welcome him to our team,” said Coho Co-Chief Investment Officer, Chris Leonard. Evan will report to Chris and Peter Thompson, Co-Chief Investment Officer. Peter added, “Evan’s background and experience will contribute significantly to both our research efforts and our ability to continue to service our clients at a high level.”
As the newest member of Coho’s Investment Team, Evan is focused on investment research and portfolio management. He has 26 years of experience in the financial industry.
Prior to joining Coho, Evan was a senior equity analyst at Mutual of America Capital Management for 11 years where he was responsible for conducting fundamental research with an emphasis on quality companies at discounted valuations. In addition, he actively collaborated with the portfolio manager for portfolio construction decisions. He also served as a senior research analyst at Lord Abbett for nine years where his focus was on value investing. Evan began his investment career as an equity research analyst at Gabelli & Co.
Evan graduated from Lafayette College with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and business, and mathematics, and received his MBA from Columbia University Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.
